The Swedish Church in Melbourne, also called Toorak House, is opening its doors to the public during the "Melbourne Open House Weekend” that takes place on the last weekend of July. Over the weekend about 200 significant buildings and sites across the city are open to the public.
As part of the Melbourne Open House weekend this year, Alex&Elle along with two other Scandinavian brands; Marja-Leena and Swede Little Things will host a mini market at the Swedish Church.
For us Scandinavians, this time of the year in Melbourne almost feels more like Christmas than in the middle of Summer. The colder weather and darker days gives us that feeling that we would like to cuddle up on the couch, light some candles and drink something warm. Therefore we will offer you a taste of Swedish Christmas at our mini market with a "Christmas in July” theme.
In addition to the normal range Alex&Elle
will showcase their Christmas fabrics and homewares and you will be able to taste some Swedish “glögg”, a traditional warm Christmas drink.
