Cotton by the metre - EKEN (black)by Teija Bruhn
Alex&Elle’s beautiful designer fabrics are imported directly from Scandinavia. Scandinavia has a strong textile tradition with graphic designs and patterns often inspired by nature. The designs and colours range from calm and sophisticated to strong and more expressive.
All our textiles are manufactured in Europe, providing high quality and accountability for the environment. They are certified by Oeko-Tex 100 or REACH, which means that they are free from harmful chemicals.
EKEN means "The Oak Tree" in Swedish. It is an abstract interpretation of the tree with black branches printed on a quality white cotton fabric.
“The ever changing nature is my main source of inspiration. I’m fascinated by trees, especially the branches. They are expressive and graphic. EKEN is a classical yet contemporary pattern.” - Teija Bruhn
